In this video Brad Browning, a relationship coach gives women advice on what text messages to send their ex in order to get them back.
One thing to note is that you can’t just send your ex-boyfriend a message after the breakup because you need to send them the right signals. To this end, Brad recommends going without contacting your ex for an extended period of time prior. If you’ve been begging and pleading and apologizing recently, it will have a negative impact on the effectiveness of your current texts.
Step #1: Don’t Text Something Boring
You never want to text something like “Hey!” or “How are things going?” These are boring texts and will not get you the response that you want from them. Instead, you’re going to have to get creative and grab their attention.
Step #2: Make Sure That You Have a Reason
You never want to text your ex for no reason or just to see how they are doing. At this point you shouldn’t be letting them know that you want to talk to them at all, but you’re contacting them only because you need something from them—like the name of a movie, a location, or so on. The real purpose of this is to open a line of communication between you and him.
Keep things cool, calm, and collected in this stage, rather than trying to build attraction.
Step #3: Don’t Bring Up Past Drama
You never want to bring up awkward conflict or drama with your ex in these first few texts. It can lead to you being labeled a Drama Queen, which isn’t attractive to them. So don’t ask if they are seeing someone new or why they broke up with you.
Try to project an attitude that says you just don’t care about your ex (but don’t say it). This will help to turn the tables on them. Eventually, they’ll be the one chasing after you.
Step #4: Be Entertaining and Funny
As mentioned before, don’t send boring messages. Instead, be entertaining and funny. You need to stimulate them in a way that allows you to maintain their interest. This can range from bringing up a hilarious memory you share, making fun of a mutual friend, or sending them a link to a funny video clip.
