In this video, Clay Andrews, a relationship coach gives women a list of signs to look for that show they still have a chance to reunite with their ex. Take note that this list is not absolute—even if you don’t see the signs mentioned, it doesn’t mean you don’t have a chance. These are simply the biggest five signs that you have a chance to work things out with your ex.
Sign #1: They Still Have (Any) Feelings for You
If your ex shows any sign of feelings, whether positive or not, then there is still an emotional charge between you. That can be used to leverage and forge an emotional connection. All it takes is a little work and you can turn it into a positive, more desirable emotion.
Sign #2: Lack or Minimal Friction
Friction is born when things like your lifestyles, values, and ideals clash with one another. There are a number of different factors when it comes to friction, but the less of it between you, the better. The more friction there is, the harder it gets to reconcile.
Sign #3: Emotional Connection
The foundation of a successful relationship is a strong emotional connection. Many people try to connect with their ex on a sexual level to give their relationship significance, but the attraction is already there if you were together. If you can already connect to them emotionally, that’s what is really going to help you get back together.
Sign #4: Out of “Damage Control” Mode
“Damage control” mode is when everything you’re doing is in reaction to your ex after a breakup, leaving you worrying and overanalyzing everything they do. This is a hindrance to rebuilding a relationship because it gives your ex too much power over you, which they aren’t likely to respond well to. A healthy relationship is that of equals coming together to enrich each other’s lives, which you can’t do while in that mode.
Sign #5: Not Willing to Give Up
The biggest sign is whether or not you are willing to keep going ahead, despite all the challenges you’ll face—and there will be many. If you start doubting and losing hope, your chances decrease. You have to know what you want, and be willing to go after it above all else, to have a real shot of getting back together.
